They don't think that Odums was the best man for the job. They were so hyped up about Jenkins and now they feel like the entire search was a waste of time since all the did was made the interim coach the guy.

Odums WAS offered the job today. I talked to him 30 mins ago. Extremely happy for him. He's a good friend and a hard worker.

There were so many other people out there who would have been also. Congrats SU, welcome to a repeat of the last 4 years. lmao I was always taught that you don’t fire a coach just to hire someone on his staff. That’s just like saying "this guy had all of the answers but he just didn’t tell anybody".

I have been impressed with Tyrone Odoms as a person, student, athlete and all was positive.  Great guy, with a work ethic, unsurpassed.  He was mature as an athlete and student.  I think he will be like Maynor, untested but a very good hire.   This guy will work to win .   You will not outwork  or out recruit him.  He ain't lazy.

As a SU alumnus I say give the AD a chance--even though I would have chosen someone else, I am not an AD and don't have AD experience so I could be very wrong--I say let Dr. Broussard and coach odoms do their job and judge them on results-- not our opinions.

WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT ODOMS IS GOING TO DO--JOE TAYLOR WAS 1-9 AS FIRST YEAR COACH AT HOWARD--I  WONDER WHAT KIND OF TEAM HOWARD WOULD HAVE HAD IF HE HAD STAYED- MOVED TO VIRGINA UNION WAS WAS 6-2-2 THE NEXT YEAR-- AS A BUSINESSMAN I TEND TO HAVE A WAIT AND SEE ATTITUDE--LET US SEE HOW DR. BROUSSARD PICK DOES.
