Don't get me wrong an Elmo burger is truly an experience but after having spent three years in Athens at UGA and eating at Snelling and the East Campus Village there is simply no comparison. Eating in the dining facilities at UGA is like eating at a four star restaurant or a very, very high end buffet! The food is off the chain ridiculously good!! nod nod nod nod nod

He doesn't need me to cook for him - not when he's got the Louisiana mojo woman to make him chicken, dirty rice and biscuits every night

He may need you to rescue him from the Louisiana mojo woman. She don't put up with: cheating, lying, ignoring her, beating her, taking her for granted, forgetting her birthday,... She will take that little Borther Tony doll out of the drawer and have a good time with it.

Not to offend anyone,,but if a person picks a college because of the food they serve,,this person must be eating some nasty stuff at home and/or they must be from the sticks or hood were good food is hard to find. If I were the parent I would be embarrassed.

Are you saying the kid should go to a school where the food is half a step above C-rations?  Something has to set the school apart.  For some it's the dorms.  For others it's the library.  For a few it's the technology.  Some choose a school because of the sports.  Nothing wrong with choosing a school for the food.  If the food sucks its gonna be a long four years.

Some times I hate being a counselor but I have to look at it from a counseling perspective. I don't know the kids background but he may not get many meals a week.

I would HOPE and PRAY he did NOT pick UGA soley on food but little things based on a person's background have an impact on how an individual makes life decisions. Good Lord I see it all the time with my clients  no

The bottom line is this recruit is looking at going to the next level.  At some point he has to start eliminating schools.  He could have found other schools equal in ten areas and the cafeteria food was the only thing that separated the schools.

I know a retired NFL player that chose his final list based on where he had family living.  Different people use different criteria for selecting their schools.
