FINAL

Big #4 Travis Hyman got posterized by #35 for Union.  The cell phone generation let me down with it not being on YouTube yet.  Pretty sure Union's hard working SID will get it out soon.

It's not as hard to be a Panther as the record would indicate.

It's hard to be a Bulldog though!! lol So hard...

Well, Travis did get posterized (that was a mean left-handed windmill nod), but he got a couple of mean two-handed throw downs himself. But after he got in foul trouble with those 2 early ticky tack fouls, he was off kilter.

I don't know what you guys 3-pt. shooting percentage was, but man, it had to be AT LEAST 50 percent. There is no way y'all can keep that up at home in the re-match.It was a fun game to watch, as always vs. Union. And well, at least the BSU women represented! clap I caught the last 12 mins. of that game.

60% is crazy VUU Ast. Coach Anthony Peeler was a good 3pt shooter in the NBA with the Lakers/Wiz and it looks like he is teaching them how to shoot.

Although we lost to a good Lincoln team, this team has made some improvements since the start of the year. They are very young and should be pretty good next year.

I could clearly see why Union is around five hundred but drive and kick was the plan tonight. Even with Hyman in foul trouble,  there is no need to be challenging he around the basket without clear advantage.  This was my first time seeing Union:
1.  Guards played well overall but were OC and jacked some bad shots too many times for my taste.
2. #35 Cordero "Baby ______" Holt could be nice.
3. #31 must have some game because Bowie doubled him every time he touched it on the block.
4. Finishing on the defensive end with rebounds or loose ball possession was spotty and too many multiple empty offensive possessions for their current collective talent level.
5. The program is in good hands.

I agree Jumbo.

This year is a learning experience for the new head coach and young players.  The talent is there and the program is in good hands. Although the record does not show it, they are heading in the right direction.

Thank you sir and can now sleep.  It wasn't as vicious as it looked live but it was the play that took my mouth and attitude from hoping they could win back to raising hell expecting to win. Grin

VUU fan

The CIAA North is going to be very interesting!  That good Lincoln team beat Bowie State in December and lost in OT to the Bulldogs last week at home.  We beat a good VUU team in OT and took care of Virginia State last night to position ourselves in the thick of the CIAA North.  The Lions have some payback for Elizabeth City when we host them next week.  Lincoln visits Bowie State's A.C Jordan for a televised game late next week.

As they say, "you have to bring your "A" game every night in the CIAA.

p.s, Thanks for the youtube clip, that dunk by Cordero was highlight material.  Mr. Cordero Holt is a beast!

Will the Bulldogs loss affect their national ranking?

Cap:

It's look like your Bears are in the driver's seat for the CIAA as we enter the home stretch.
