Could be....

Quote
How Fox News Is Destroying the Republican Party

Quote
As Fox News has moved in and essentially replaced the RNC as the driving electoral force in Republican politics today, and with Ailes ensconced in his kingmaker role, candidates have had to bow down to Fox in search of votes and the channel's coveted free airtime. That means campaigns have been forced to become part of the channel's culture of personal destruction, as well as its signature self-pity.

The truth is, the Republican Establishment all but ceded control of the party, or at least the public face of the party, to Fox News (and Rush Limbaugh) in January, 2009. Party leaders, demoralized by John McCain's electoral landslide defeat, faded into the background and obediently followed Fox News' often-hysterical lead as Rupert Murdoch's cable channel unveiled an unprecedented effort to demonize and delegitimize the newly elected president. (In the Fox-led world, it's conventional wisdom that Obama's a foreign, race-baiting Marxist who undermines Israel and is determined to destroy the American way of life.)

With Fox News at the irresponsible helm, the conservative movement in America, including the emerging Tea Party, became first and foremost a media movement, and one that gleefully cut ties with common sense and decency. (See: Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh.).....

.....With media outlets setting the conservative agenda, as well as raising campaign funds and boosting GOP candidates, it was Fox News that quickly transformed itself into the Opposition Party. It was Roger Ailes who, officially or unofficially, began to wear two hats: Program Director at Fox News, Chairman of the RNC.

In terms of whipping up bouts of anti-Obama hysteria, the crass Fox approach enjoyed some short-term success. However, that same media movement is now three long and rhetorically repetitive years into its Obama crusade and trying to nominate a presidential candidate via an extended national campaign. According to more and more worried conservatives, the results on display are disastrous.

And...
Quote
"You don't win Iowa in Iowa, you win it on this couch," is how the Republican [FOXNEWS] commentator Dick Morris put it on "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday. Mr. Morris said that the Republican debates and Fox News had forged a national primary that "imposes itself on Iowa."

It's certainly obvious in Iowa that candidates are investing a lot more time in television interviews than they are on the campaign trail. It's a safe bet: a recent New York Times/CBS News poll of likely Iowa Republican caucus participants showed that 37 percent said they get most of their information from Fox News, that's compared with 27 percent who cited broadcast news and a mere 2 percent who said they relied on MSNBC.

Accordingly, caucus and primary voters have a voice on Fox News. All the networks, broadcast and cable, are closely covering the campaign, but Fox News practically owns and operates it: its viewers are seeing the world through the eyes of a Tea Party activist in Davenport, or a small business leader in Ames -- my own private Iowa.

And....we already know that inveterate FoxNews viewers are the MOST MISINFORMED.

Yep, Repubs, be careful what you wish for!!!

FOX NEWS CAN'T EVEN BE RELIED ON TO REPORT "FAIR AND BALANCED" NEWS.  WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THEY WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING?

IMO, Fox has fragmented the conservative base into 4 buckets:
1. Radicals/Extremists - nee Tea Party
2. Conservative Christians/Evangelicals
3. Conservatives
4. Moderates

The internal battles and wars are truly epic to watch play out over the airwaves and radio waves.

The two I follow the closest are Mark Brown (Mass) and Mark Kirk (Ill). I always saw Pataki as a moderate. McCain was pseudo-moderate until he went über radical during his 2008 campaign bid.

You people are so stupid.

Fox News doesn't have the clout to make Republicans lose the presidential election.  Fox News has done the fairest reporting of all the networks.

First, you missed the point of the articles....unsurprisingly.
Secondly, FoxNews is a network that broadcasts news AND commentary, you cretin.
So, don't forget what YOU said, "Personnel is policy."

B66, you have no clue about politics.  If Newt gets the nomination, you can quote me on this, he will do one of two things.  He will either say something stupid in the fall or after he wins in November he will do something stupid and get his a**  kicked out of the White House by everybody.

y, you are so right. However, I don't think we'll have that situation to worry about. I don't believe Newt will get the nomination and he does god help us all. I like Romney. I think he's practical minded individual and he will make a great President. He will bring level headed people to his administration and not a bunch of socialists/communists ideologues who hate American like Barry. He will not be like the devisive individual who now occupies the presidency. With Newt I am afraid will get the same chit Barry has brought over the past four years only in the opposite extreme.

I can't believe you don't know.  Let's start with ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and others.
