I was just warming up to Chico. I may not agree with everything he does, but he tries to improve the programs. I can say that our men basketball team is looking very good to me right now.

Looks like enough people on here know the deal.  However they never mentioned how he is quick to dismiss the alumni.  Dr. Martin used to protect him when we'd get on him  This was long before the D1 issues came up.  He's a jive turkey/sucka.  You choose.

Excellent point.  Caldwell will be outta there faster than I thought because HE WILL try to show Doug Williams who's boss and if Doug respectfully disagree's with him it's over.  Don't be surprised if you hear about Doug Williams being written up within a month after Chico's arrival.   

CHICO REALLY DOESN'T KNOW HE IS DOING ANYTHING WRONG.  That's the sad part about it.

Chico met with his staff at FVSU a couple of weeks ago to let them know he was moving on and he told them he recommends Mrs. Williams (Compliance Director) to replace him as athletic director.  The football coaches were like... "aww hell naw" while she was sitting there.    She had the nerve to get a pissy attitude and said she didn't care because she didn't want to be AD.

If Fort Valley was smart, they would bring back Mrs. Gwendolyn Reeves as AD.

I agree Yogi and she should've never been taken down from being the AD. We shall see who they will choose for the Interim status and in my opinion it should be Coach Lonnie Bartley.

I beg to differ.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  

Ummm.....The disarray that the department maybe experiencing would be due to the outgoing AD and his predecessor, which was NOT Mrs. Reeves.    When she was AD, there were not any compliance issues or NCAA violations.  Mrs. Reeves is well respected within the NCAA.  After all, until her retirement, she was a member of the D2 Management Council, which is the group which manages NCAA D2 athletics.

No, the reason the program is in disarray is because of all of the bootleg, unorthodox, backdoor dealings in these incompetent hires after Mrs. Reeves.
