A question for hi-lander, y04 & OS: If Repubs really want more Black support....

I am certain I was not the only one to notice that - despite Repubs' repeated assertions that they do not "slice and dice" the electorate (as they criticize the Dems for doing) - the Repubs had at least one satellite location from which Latinos in Florida asked questions to the candidates.

IF Repubs are dissatisfied with the level of support they receive from Black voters, why didn't they think of doing something like that?

In my opinion the GOP does not care if they have mass AA support because it would upset a large. part of its base which consists of racists and bigots.  They only need a few articulate AA they can parade around for sound bites and photo ops.

No real answer so you deflect.    What have Repubs/Conservatives done to attract large numbers of blacks or address their issues?  Hell Newt is the only one who has had the balls to appear before a mostly black audience.  Even on West's forum you cited in another thread there were more blacks on the panel than in the audience, dems da facts.

During that time and for about 100 years Black folks WERE REPUBLICANS at a VERY high percentage.
When some Blacks started moving to the Democrats, Black Repubs called them "race traitors", etc.  

Our People's loyalty to the Repubs even survived the Repubs' BETRAYAL of us with the Tilden-Hayes compromise WHICH EFFECTIVELY BROUGHT RECONSTRUCTION TO AN END!!

Can you bring yourself to even address these points?

And, Ken, according to info posted by y04 and that I posted from the Harlem Republican Party, the chronology ends in the 1970's, except - pretty much - for appointments of individuals and symbolic matters.
