My oldest made a blackberry doobie yesterday and it was so good, she's making more this evening for daddy. I love those old recipes that somehow still survive this hectic pace we have today. Thank goodness my mother-in-law taught her how to make it.... clap clap clap

I baked  Sweet Potato pie and Peach Cobbler during the holidays.

I also baked   "teacakes"   for Thumper and her friends to eat while they were hanging out at my house during the holidays.

Now, its back to the usual food for us.

Are parsnips old school?  Or just obscure? lol

I eat them--but I fix them different ways so we don't get bored.

Can someone tell me how to make spicy fried chicken (wings)? I don't want buffalo wings but the spicy ones (similar to the kind you'd get at KFC)

Cajun/Spicy Seasoning on chicken BEFORE you batter and or flour and fry it.
You can also add spicy seasoning to batter/flour mixture.
You can also add spicy seasoning to chicken as soon as you bring it out the hot oil (Chicken Coop Style)
