What's your favorite winter meal? Mine is brunswick stew with cornbread (corn inside), hot green tea and a slice (or two) of Seven-Up pound cake....

jalapenea cornbread or some cheesy garlic bread with the chili.

Some good ice cold brew to wash it down.

another winter comfort food for me is good ole homemade spaghetti and homemade meatballs.

You can purchase Skyline Chili, which is a brand of Cincy style chili.  Skyline is one of the restaurants in Cincy that retails their brand.  Cincy style chili has to do with its preparation and ingredients used.  Another popular brand is Gold Star.  I have made this in the past and used the Skyline spice seasoning blend that was sold in Kroger.  Either folk like Cincy style chili or they hate it.

Hey Dog in Me.  I've baked many a sweet potatoe in the fireplace.  You can't get  that sugary glaze in the oven.  Pop it open and dump some real butter in there.  Good eating.

Yeah, huge Skyline fan. Not so much for Gold Star. I usually do the small 5 way with light cheese, inverted and 2 cheese coneys wet.

Translation: small 5 way with light cheese. When they make it, I want the cheese under the meat sauce so it melts before I eat it

The cheese coneys have extra chili sauce on it

That hot sauce they have in the stores is the truth...would love to know who they source it from.....

Growing up, I used to do that with my dad..and he continued it with my brother, after I went off to college.

My friends would come over he'd bake sweet potatoes in fireplace for us--and we'd inhale them all!  It was basic fun--but we enjoyed ourselves!
