With two games left, the Wildcats of Fort Valley showed their tenacity winning over Stillman College 52-3. Now with the two main competitors ahead, Morehouse and Albany, the wildcats are taking these two game 10 yards at a time.  I stated in other threads that it was and is my belief that the Wildcats could bounce back. A win against Morehouse, would intensify the Fountain City Classic as the classic slogan "A Showdown Before Sundown." Before the season begin many said that Tuskegee would be the team from the West, while it Albany and Fort Valley would remain the top contender from the East. These last two weeks will be critical, but giving that the Wildcats has experienced a hard schedule, they seemed to be in better shape, even with the lost against Bethune Cookman. One can only wait and see.

No 4-6 team should be playing for a SIAC Championship.

If we win out and ASU loses two, THAT is what will happen.

But that is just my opinion.

No smack but I am with you. I dont care who the team is I feel that you should at least have a Winning or Even record to be in anybody Championship game. 4-6...Not whatsup. 5-5 ugh...But 6-4 I can see that.

Just saying...

We can thank the bright geniuses at the conference office for that possibility...

VG, I'm resigned to the fact that this just one of those crazy seasons that come along every once in a blue moon...

You should go to the conference championship game if:

A)
Your conference record is better than everyone in your division.

and/or

B) You win the tie breakers to win your division.

I don't care what your record is. Based on the format if you win and are #1 at the end of the year, you should go. Y'all would be crying foul if your team was 4 - 6, won your division, and wasn't allowed to go  Roll Eyes

Either way, this is a moot point right now because we still have 2 weeks to see who will be in the championship game.

Oh if that should happen through some strange combination of scenarios, then I'm not gonna complain and it is what it is... I still don't think it is a good look, and it isn't really a great reflection of the conference.

Just saying....

Well if it happens than it is what it is. nod Those type of issues should be worked out BEFORE you implement a plan not when its 9 weeks into a season and the outcome does not look pretty on its face.  nod Thank you SIAC Commish.  tongue2  no shrug

Can't change it midstream so it just will have to be what it will be and if by chance that happens then it will ride and the sun will come up tomorrow morning. nod

 lmao lmao

FVSU can stick a fork in it because ASU is not going to lose on homecoming. FVSU needs ASU & Morehouse to lose their final two games to win the SIAC and that is not going to happen. Morehouse may lose against y'all but ASU will beat Benedict with ease! Better luck next year!

I believe my RAMS will win, but not with ease. That notion has been thrown out the door this year. The games we should win with ease we do not.

I thought the same thing about Lane, CAU, and SSU.....At this point we might just want to let the team speak on the field tiptoe tiptoe
