A little tidbit: Corporate taxes are separate from personal taxes.

Warren Buffett = Berkshiere Hatheway

Umm, no.

Waren Buffet is the primary  shareholder in Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffet's statements about rasing the personal income tax for income over $250K has NOTHING to do with Berkshire Hathaways tax issues.

JBROB, this is a classic Republican talking point about Obama's dsires to raise taxes on income over 250K  is somehow affecting small business owners. Any small business owner who clears $250K for himselfafter he has paid all of his operating expenses, such as ultilities, materials, staff and insurance AND deposit money back into the business  is not a "struggling small business owner"!  Businesses and individuals get taxed att different rates, which is why many individuals hide their income in business, such as Steve Jobs, who gets paid $1 a year by Apple.

Dude you vacated a thread you created days ago after we clearly exposed your a solute miseducation on President Bush and 9/11.

Talking about someone else being a hypocrit!  You should wash your mouth out with lye, no pun intended, coz that's mainly what you do here most days......

'87,

And he vacated this one when Wildman and others broke his silly "point" down to mere dust.

I know I am not the only one to notice that y04 POSTED A TALKING POINT from NewsMess with NO comment of his own and then accused others of getting their talking points.

Would be hilarious if not so sad.....

Meanwhile, here's a good article on Buffet:
Quote
lost in the thicket of such considerations is the larger story of Buffett’s political evolution -- which underlines the central problem in America’s economy today. That problem is a lack of jobs, particularly well-paid ones, for all but the very rich. It’s also described as income equality because the gap between very rich and everyone else keeps growing. What does this have to do with the so-called Oracle of Omaha’s politics?
Buffett’s evolution was shaped by two central episodes. First, as a Depression baby, he saw that the larger federal government wrought by the New Deal, including its safety-net provisions, gave rise, in the postwar period, to a more stable and prosperous society -- one in which millions of blue-collar workers achieved a middle-class lifestyle that was previously beyond their dreams.
Based on Merit
Second was Buffett’s deeply held belief in individual merit. You can understand why a nerdy kid who was good at numbers thought people should be judged on performance. This is one reason he became a money manager, a profession in which performance is arithmetically measurable. In the 1960s, he was galvanized by civil rights -- the issue that sealed his break with the Republican Party -- because it was the ultimate test of merit versus birth.

Will you people kindly explain why Warren Buffett receives a salary under $250,000.00?  Will you people explain why Buffett purposely chooses to be paid from stock dividends instead of the salary of a CEO?  If Buffett took a salary like other CEOs he would pay more in taxes.  It's easy for him to say others should pay more in taxes when he isn't.  Will you people explain why Buffett has a clause in his will that those who inherit money from him will not pay inheritance and gift taxes?  Will you people explain why Buffett has a sweetheart deal with Bank of America to receive 6% on his investments and savings with BoA?  Why doesn't Buffett pay his secretary from dividends?

Warren Buffett should practice what he preaches.

Sure!

As soon as you explain why anyone should respond to your questions when this board is littered with instances in which you don't reply or answer - even simple questions.

Anyone with knowledge regarding the Articles of Incorporation fully realize Buffet and any other officer of a corporation or partnership can set their salary. Why is his @ $250K is for him to know and for you to find out....

Why is it that some folks here can't see the difference between personal tax liability and corporate tax liability? Huh?
