With two weeks left until the Wildcats of Fort Valley State take on the Rattlers of Florida A&M, the event has sold out lodging and is making quite a buzz. The Wildcats are eager and excited to cut off the Rattlers head Labor Day Weekend. Highway 19 will be flooded with FVSU travelers as they set a trail to begin, what should be an explosive and competive game and season. The Wildcats are more than ready, they are going to give FAMU a spanking to remember....

At least is good to see the Wildcat faithful be enthusiastic toward their team and band.

That's all I'm going to say!!!

With Fote Balley being picked as one of the top teams in the conference this year they should be able to compete well. If they put everything together in time could be a good game. That  first game is hard to judge and Fote Balley don't normally do well at the beginning of the season.

Wish I could attend this game but I am due in Balley country that weekend.

*snicker*........................

Lets see...............I've been on the Ft. Valley campus before.  Its a lovely school.  I've got photos of then 9yr old Miss Strike running on the track inside the football stadium.  Hell, I've even been to Lane Packing Co. right there in Peach County.  lol

As for the Rattler's tuneup for the '11 season, well, lets just say I hope the weather is not too hot.  That's about all your humble poster will say on the matter.

Hmm...what's comical is someone from MILLS COLLEGE have the audacity to even speak on this topic and to give a prediction. Here's a prediction for you. How many games will MILLS win this year? 2 or 3? You can't have both. Pick one.  Huh?

that's all...

We've always been entusiastic and supportive of our team and band as evidenced by attendance records ..... just not enthused about the ones running the show.  Even in the years of transition and change we loved our Wildcats...still do!

The hotel rooms are hard to come by due to FSU playing Louisiana - Monroe on the same day.

Fort Valley sent me to FAMU so this game is kind of difficult to choose.   NOT!!!   The first quarter will be interesting but separation will soon take place.

I hope none of my close Fort Valley friends take offense.  It's business Grin

Have a great time and enjoy the A&M experience.

Hit me up if you need anything Afro

This game will depend on the attitude that the FAMU FB team brings to the field.  If they approach FVSU as just some little D2 team that's coming for a beatdown, it could end up being a long day for FAMU.  If FAMU takes a business-like approach to this game and approach FVSU like they do SU, or SCSU, then I'd say that FAMU will prevail.

Personally, I just don't see this as a FAMU naming the score type of game.

I don't think that Joe Taylor is going to let FAMU come out with a big head in this game.

nono2 Trust me when I tell you that, the team is WELL aware of all of the smack being talked about the D-1 transfers FVSU have, and how they're going to make an example out of the Rattlers. Post and off-season workouts have been off the chain at the Rattler's camp, because they're intended on making a statement with each and every game. nod

Who is talking smack Huh?  I've read no quotes in the paper or otherwise.... except for Big Meech up there and well....no comment no

I have seen FAMU folks (on Facebook mostly with Fort Valley ties) talking sh@t [But they bring their country azzes back home for Homecoming  in the Valley or the FCC all the time] Roll Eyes , but other than that I haven't heard of any proclamations that the Wildcats are gonna kick a-- and take names ...... if anything people were trying to figure out what we had....

We have D1 transfers....most teams have a few....big deal shrug

Thanks Valley Girl, because that is why I made this post in the first place; it's due to the fact that the people of FAMU are talking mad trash about what they are going to do and how they are going to do it; and it wasn't just on facebook but also in person. And I could not keep idle so I decided to get on the defensive, but silence at times can be the best answer.
