Does Tuskegee still need a game?   shrug

Tuskegee - SIAC - SR 2

September 3 or
September 10  - Needs to be a home game in 2011.  Could return a game in 2012 or guarantee 2011.

Very, very slim pickings for a home game at this point. We either had to buy someone out, commit to a home & home or look outside the NCAA field.

They play in the USCAA level. On paper this should be a laugher but the question is what type of recruiting standards do they have? I think this is the same collegiate division Talladega College plays in and we all know they gave some SWAC schools quite a challenge in basketball.

I know St. Paul's demise affected many schedules, but has the CIAA officially said anything yet? I agree, it's slim pickins at this point. It's past the point of a real good payday game.

Now I know I'm just blowing smoke, but can A&T buyout ECSU and play WSSU Labor Day.  Grin Just kidding...just a thought!

We negotiated and couldn't come to an agreement with WSSU so buying out ECSU would totally be out of the question.

But what was the agreement that couldn't be reached? I have heard rumors about the home and home deal. But what was the " real" reason? I have enjoyed the rivalry every since I've been living in this area and would love for it to continue.

Can we start playing WSSU in 2012?  I know that this year is out of the question, but did WSSU and ECSU sign a multi-year contract for Labor Day Weekend?

They should call it the Teacher's College Classic (TC).  WSTC vs ECTC.  They should approach NCAE and NEA about sponsorship.

It's a little funny but people like Bill Gates need to spend money and improve education.  It might work.

Meh...

I am not trippin too much about this move. We won't be the only FCS school that struggled to get 11 games this season word to Murray State & Tenn. Tech)

I am more concerned about the increase of scholarships we can offer to players on the team this year. I hope the NCAA showing pity on us will help Coach Broadway bring in some quality DL and a QB.

I also expect Coach Broadway and our Athletic Dept. to continue to make strides with our APR. Our number one priority is graduating our student athletes, not whether or not we got the right team for Labor Day weekend.
