Uh Nova - Tuskegee University is already getting donations? When exactly did it stop getting donations, grants, research monies? If you're claiming that alums are now stepping up and giving who weren't when Dr. Payton was president, I'll believe that when I see it.

Alumni relations - what are you talking about? Because the man stood around with alumni and took pictures? Because he had a reception and stood there and shook every hand? Or do you mean because to date he has agreed to come to 3 of the 5 NAA regional conferences this summer? I would argue that is what he is suppose to do.

What academic changes have been made besides the provost, who oh BTW happens to be the brother of the chairman of the trustee board?  You can't possibly mean the dismantling of University Advancement and the hiring of a husband-wife team where one spouse reports to/supervises the other? Is that what you're talking about? Or are you talking about him stating that he WANTS to add a couple more degree programs in the undergrad, graduate and PhD areas? When were they added?

Recruitment? What type of recruitment? You can't possibly be talking about student recruitment...the only difference I see is the attempt to increase the number of students from AL, which started a couple of years ago.

Well, one thing is great. Change is good and you might be one of the ones that just doesn't like progress because you seem to be a person who habitually sees or anticipates the worst or is disposed to be gloomy.

Unfortunately, the union/cafe' at 'Skegee is a far cry for standing next to any of the schools in this thread. Revamping an old building to modern day comfort can be done, just look at Davidson College in Davidson, NC., 10 minutes north of Charlotte, NC . . .
