I thought that the O-line did a wonderful job moving the ball against the 13th nationally ranked Miami "quick" defense. Ukpai held on to the ball too long, and failed to recognize the quickness of the Canes D...repeatedly. Hopefully he realizes that he's not Pulley. Also, poor play selection by the OC attributed a lot to the offense not closing the deal when they were within striking distance.

The defensive line also did a good job. Wished that I could say the same for the DBs defending against the pass. Maybe it was speed that got them. Who knows. The LBs repeatedly gave up the pass underneath to the TE or RB out of the back field across the middle. Overall, if nothing else, they kept them from hanging 50 or 60 on us like some thought they would. One thing to note though... No Canes RB got a 100 yards on us. 65yds is the best their top rusher did. And the D only gave up 155 rushing yds total to the 13th nationally ranked team in FBS.

you sound bout crazy... Miami could have WHATEVER they wanted against FAMU.  They could have EASILY scored over 100 points.  You were playing against Freshmen and redshirt freshmen the entire second half.

We don't have the financial support to play the big boys.  I hope all wounded MEAC schools didn't have any major injuries to report.  Re-group and get ready for the MEAC competition.  Can't take too many more butt-whuppins for money.

The disparity in scholarships (85 for FBS v. 63 for FCS), plus the fact that these FBS school's 2nd and 3rd string players could easily be our FCS starters, plus the fact that conditioning played a major role in NSU's demise against Rutgers shows why we all lost. But in all honesty, I don't think any FCS PWCs could have done any better, either. I'm definitely proud of the way NSU was still in the game until the 3rd-4th quarter! clap

That's the silver lining of the game.  This game was similar to a preseason NFL game where Miami was basically working out the kinks, getting ready for next week's game.  Miami could have put 50, 60, or 70 on us if that were really their goal.
