Aggie blues,

Apparently you are either a recent grad or still a student there.....I can tell because you look at these topics from a one sided angle. Has it ever crossed your mind that everyone is entitled to their own opinion?Huh? Eagle pride believes that FAMU was the best.....some agree, so what? From the clips I've seen I happen to think the order of ranking was NCCU A&T  FAMU. IT's all about your opinion! We know that you think A&T is the best thing since kool aid.....get over it.

And since you mentioned the fact that NCCU has did the same routine.....last time I checked A&T 1) has never had good field shows and 2) they always play the same 5 songs in the stands.

What made me pick FAMU was the difficult in their drilling.  NCCU really did have the best show.  The biggest disappointment was SCSU.  I mean, a band that large should have done better.  Central, FAMU and A&T made this event good.

First off i would like to Thank EP for answering my question.

As for NCCU05 i asked EP his opinion simply because his rankings were considered quite the opposite of those that attended and/or gave their opinions on this site and others....therefore i wanted to know what it was the EP looked for when judging performances...I completely understand that ranking bands is a subjective thing because while one may look at one thing, another person might look at another.

With that being said yes, A&T is not a field band especially when it comes to dance routines...that's been proven time and time again Our strength is in the stands, Our song selections, Cold Steel (or as i call them now Steel B.O.X.) and our Versatile Auxiliary that has more uniforms in 1 show than some squads have in one season.... Hell if we could play Luther ballads and just have golden delight shake it all day we would be a beast...

So to wrap this diatribe up, I don't look at band topics through one perspective just because like everyone else I didn't give FAMU and Baby FAMU the 1 and 2 spots.... I simply wanted to know where EP was coming from... In fact i gave NCCU and Reid Praise earlier in this thread, but obviously you have that selective amnesia...but since you didnt read that I'll paraphrase: Good Job this in Charlotte, You Guys have a good product over in durham. (Im just thankful that you guys didnt leave me with that WTF feeling after this show  Grin )

Now lemme give NCCU05 a  hugs so he/she can stop boo hoo'ing and catching feelings...I forgot that some of the Eagle contingent suffers from

Aggieblues,

I didn't put to much into sound, because everybody's sound was a little off at times, except NCCU. nono2  Those freshmen get excited at times. lol  We must consider that those bands were only in camp for 2-3 weeks.  Hats off to all of those band members that worked very hard to represent their schools. clap bow  Hope each band is able to get some recruits from this event.

Watching clips, I still say FAMU, NCCU and A&T in that order.  NCCU & A&T might be to close to call.  They are just two different styles.  But I tell you what, it is going to be on in Durham come September.

By the way Aggieblues, an Eagle is not a common barnyard fowl. nono2  I don't know where you got that "Chicken Coop" from.

aggie blues.....i outta put you over my good knee and whip ur arse. who do you think you are.  hugs

And i aint sensitive. sheesh. I told you I actually liked A&T's performance. And if you would of asked me last year I would of told you that I thought the sound machine was mediocore (minus at HBOTB). I'm not so wrapped up into my eagles that I don't see flaws. Speaking of which let me mention them on this board and hope that someone takes notice.....

1) We do tend to the similar shows through out the season
2) We're very balanced but we need to find a way to add a little more volume ( I didn't see this problem in the current clips or at Honda BOTB)
3) We need a good mix of old school jams and new (ex: I was waiting for the SM to Poison for years...glad we finally got around to it)
