NCCU FIGHT SONG

For Lots of Reasons, "Fighting Eagles" never caught On with Eagle Fans, (current 46 years and older) after the Band Stopped Playing the Old "I'm So Glad", back in the early 1990's. Plus, many of the current NCCU student population still believe the song to be "Tired" for some reason. Plus, the 25 to 45 age Eagle Fans do not same to help the cause very much, by not standing, clapping and singing along with the song, with any enthusiasm and EAGLE PRIDE AMPLIFIED!!!

Come to think of it, someone asked me yesterday, who wrote "Fighting Eagles", what year and under which Band Director at NCCU? That information should be known as part of our very proud NCCU History.

EAGLEMANIA2K: Do you know or are you in contact with someone who may know?

I do agree that the words to the NCCU "Eagles" Official Fight Song should be printed in and on everything possible, so "Eagle Fans" can finally learn and sing all of the words.

But, when in doubt, everyone LOVES, Responds to and Respects the two NCCU Spirit RIFFs and For The Black Folks

Why didnt you guys bring this up when they were discussing the Eagles coping that darn Aggies pride junk in the sport forum?
Eagle Pride has been around for years.

I did speak on that part as well. In my book, Central never copied A & T., and I marched with Central from 79--81 and 86-87. A & T played Aggie Spirit, and Central played I',m So Glad.  A & T would chant Aggie Pride, and Central would chant Eagle Funk, Funk no Aggie Pride.  that came to an end cause people thought we (the band) was using the other "F" word.  Some traditions  you don't change.   I am sure I'm So Glad is filed in a cabinet.  If you think about it, the alma mater that we use to play was arranged by Wm. Moon, and we played that arranged cause they could not find the original version of the alma mater.  Now the version of the alma mater that is played is the orignal version. someone took the time to go through the files and they found it.   Ring Dem Bells is also in the music library.   If you think about it fellow alums, the staff that is placed in position now, if they don't know about the victory hymn, I'm So Glad, etc. we will not hear it.

It goes back to what we were initially talking about, these songs that are a part of our history needs to resurface and published in the programs!!

EaglePride that was the day  with all those wonderful things going on, that was the meaning or archrival. when game day, you put on the armor, after the game you take it off and joke with your friends from A&T.

There's nothing like the Eagle Aggie games!!! The new school don't fully understand it. You could have the worst team in the conference, but you better beat Winston, Homecoming, and those darn Aggies!!!

Yesterday, I talked with the SID regarding our topic here. Long story short,
he thought it was a great idea having the words published and would check to
see if the words could be visible when the band plays the fight song.

lets hope this will get off the ground by the first game or as soon as possible!!!
