I hope these flag wavering and lapel wearing folks on right were patriotic enough when it comes supporting ideas such as alternative energy, modernize our infrastructure, regulating wall-street and punishing coporations that move jobs overseas.. Heck, it would be nice if these right-wing support fair trade, raising tax rate on top one percent and consumption tax, food safety and destroy prison industrial complex..

VG, if you really think about it, MOST conservatives are like spoiled little kids. They want EVERYTHING to go their way, ALL THE TIME, and they don't CARE about the effect on others.

The City in question has laws that were voted on and approved. Those laws were put in place for a reason... but these people think THEY have a right to flout them just because it suits their needs.

vg, the way most of the laws are written they could not display a flag in the window nor on the wall unless the flag is for sale.  then, it can't hang in the window.  if your office was in most of these towns your employer could not hang a 'happy birthday valley girl' banner on the front of the building on your birthday. 

if you try to do this in the town of cary, nc they would get you if the colors of the flag or banner are not approved by the town.  they are so crazy in cary, nc that they told talbot's that their red door did not go with the earth tones of the shopping center and they had to paint the door another color or face a daily fine.

what part of you have no clue what the town codes of leland, nc are do you not understand.  the will of the people is not being addressed.  the town does not want this to go to court because a jury will side with the business.
