Brown, a senior out of Hillside High School in Durham, N.C., won the women's shot put event with a toss of 13.95 meters (45 feet, 9.25 inches) to beat out her closest competition from A&T, Elon and Hampton.

The NCCU women's 4x400m relay team edged the foursome from rival North Carolina A&T by six-tenths of a second, posting a winning time of 3:48.33.

Well, just like Hampton vs. Norfolk State, NCCU vs. NCA&T must continue to push each other to become much better in all sports, in order to help  produce a much better MEAC, that will complete for a much larger share of National Championships.

We NCCU "Eagles" Respect each member of the MEAC and wish them well.  When it comes to NCA&T, well you know ARCH-Rival, which is enough said.

Our NCCU Eagles will expect some "Payback" in Durham, NC, against Hampton U, in football, this coming season, as well, which is another important measuring rod for the rebuilding of the NCCU Eagles athletics program.
