not sure how they figure he has 3 yrs. of eligibility. he has been there for 3 years which is 6 semesters that leaves 4 semesters to play which would give you the 10 semesters allowed by NCAA

GENERALLY....You go fulltime in the fall.....part time in the spring...then summer school ...that will get u to drag out the terms of attendance rule...the only challenge with part time in the spring is that you can't TYPICALLY participate in spring ball because you are not full time....but if he is a baller...I am sure the coach may make an exception to him having to participate in the spring...lol
It reads like he had redshirt year and a medical redshirt year.

El Jay you can't go full time in fall and part time in spring and then play the following season you have to be full time both semester to be eligible. Where you get that from?

You can....as long as you have 24 hrs prior to particaption.....it's done all the time with transfers to D2 football programs..can't use it for a full season for BBall due to them playing in both semesters...but then you have other things that might get you like...6hr rule and progress toward degree....so it can get complicated...

Your wrong, A palyer has 10 fulltime semesters to play four years at D2. The players has to pass 24 hours before the start of their playing season, but all players must pass at lest 18 hours in the fall and spring and can meet the 24 hour rule during the summer, but a player must pass at lest 6 hours in the previous semester to be eligible to play and a player must be fulltime during their playing season.

SO you can play as Freshman at a D1 school in 2010 leave school that summer sitout till 2015 come to D2 and have 3 more seasons to play.

You also can pass 18  hours in the fall go fulltime in the spring and only pass 3 hours and be ineligible because you didn't pass 6 hours in the previous semester and this is why it so hard to have coaches keeping up with this stuff you have to hire someone just to handle this  brickwall

EWCGrad,When did you all get a football team to consider!  lmao

One day, one of these days we will get ourselves a real live football coach! AND WHEN WE DO, there won't be all this talk of disrespecting us like you don't know who we are!  We show signs of greatness people, like when we beat Shaw U back in '07 and when we beat SSU back in '08 and when we held NC....I won't go there cuz we lost that one but we do show signs.  One of these days!

no you both are wrong if you are saying you can be fulltime one semester get 12 hrs. then go part time next semester and pass 9 hrs. which is 21 hrs. then take 3 hrs. in summer to get to 24 hrs. you have to be fulltime both semesters to play football the following year.

With Kindle, Fulton and now Clower at QB, he did the right thing and went somewhere there was an honest need. ASU's Jerry Morre is hard nose coach on his QB play and if he couldn't cut it there to become even a first backup, I wouldn't sweat this news.
