SSU will play ASU in Waycross

Ironically, I don't see it as a travel issue. Both Albany and Savannah are not too far from Waycross. Maybe an hour and half between the two. But it's mostly swamp and country in those parts, especially past Tifton into Willacoochee from Albany and Jesup into Screven from Savannah. That's the only thing I can take from this being a logical choice. The attendance will be interesting to see.

Waycross?  shrug Who's bright idea was this? This seems to be a desperate move.  You won't find me down in those neck of the woods.  no I'm sure the Ram faithful will represent well, but don't expect much to go on outside of the game.

It's a small town with nothing to offer except for guided tours of the Okefenokee Swamp, or watching the Tropicana Orange Juice trains and Amtrak making their daily Florida to the rest of the country runs.  Applebees is probably the best thing there from a restaurant POV.  They would have been much better off having a coin flip between Albany and Savannah as to who was going to host this game.

ASU will represent and the SSU faithful will also turn up. Supporters of both schools have been waiting for a return to this game.

I am just glad to see a legit DI-AA schedule, instead of having a couple DI-AA schools, 2-3 D2 schools, 2 NAIA schools and throw in 1 or 2 JUCO games.
