lol

Reading is fundamental.  The fired general is a Marine.  It is Marine incompetence.  The three star replacement will either be from the Air Force or Navy.  Hopefully, Gates will select an Air Force fighter pilot.  We will see.

Someone should tell Gates the only time the Marines ever do anything right is when an Army General tells them what to do.

The program is called the Joint Strike Fighter Program for a reason.  This one platform will replace aircraft currently in use by the Air Force, Navy, and Marines.  The Department of Defense is in charge of the program.  Also, Australia has some input in the program.  This program is 'joint' on defense and diplomatic lines.

It be someone from the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, Turkey, Australia, Norway or Denmark.  They have contributed to the development of the platform.
