end zone seats are THE WORST seats for a band competition with bands playing to both sides - the sound, the effects is totally lost sitting in the end zone.  no sorry thats where you were seated.

NCCU did indeed show up and show out -
It was the best show I have seen the Sound Machine do...EVER!!!!
And they sounded awesome!

They even got a standing ovation from the Marching 100 - thats how good they were. nod

Southern also did their thing as they do - precision - fire - energy - and the Dolls, baby.

FAMU was also entertaining as they usually are - you just cannot beat that FAMU 100 SOUND - period!

They were definitely my 3 favorites of the day. And I was entertained by the other bands too.

All the lovely ladies represented their schools well, too.

From the CAU Essence, to the Golden Passionettes to the Black Foxes to the Dancing Dolls to the VSU Essence of Troy to the lovely Piperettes - they were all on point!!!

I'm backkk from the ATL. I went to Honda, as usual this year. My ranking is as follows:

NCCU "Marching Sound Machine"- Hands down took the show for me. I must admit. I didn't know what the "Buzzards" was going to bring this year. The last couple of years their show has dropped a little to sometime a LOT. But, this time they did a PHENOMENAL JOB! The "Earth Song" by Michael Jackson oh, my gosh.. Shocked  Just beautiful... Cry   I love the show and the sound. Great Job "Eagles"

2. Southern- Always precise, sound and crowd support. Glad they finally came to Honda and hopefully, they will come next year.

3. FAMU- Borderline BORING! But, size and the sound dominated to make FAM interesting. FLASHBULBS were flashing as usual for them.

4. Prairie View- They brought it this year. The good thing about not participating in a couple of years, it makes you look fresh and new to the fans and PVU benefitted from that. The "BLACK FOXES" oh, my, my, my, my, my... brickwall tiptoe

5. Virginia State- Great representation of VA.

6. CAU- Great Sound and I saw that they brought a vocalist again as they have done in years past. She made me cringed a couple of times. Yes, "IT KILLS ME"... tiptoe  But, she did her thang.

7. Tuskegee

8.Albany State- I was expecting much more from Albany. They didn't live up to expectation when they came to Honda the first time. Their first show at Honda what I have on dvd was their best show. Sound, drill, and breakdown was on point. This year the only good part was the big girl.

So, those are my assessment. Ludicris performed and had the dome rocking! Honda was good this year and I think 8 bands, instead of, 10 works because it doesn't drag on all day and you don't have to sit there watch similar shows or music selections. So, the SUPER 8 was GREAT!!

that's all... tiptoe
