We did not "exclude" any schools from BCFx - The Black College Football video game.
We have made and continue to make efforts to contact and engage every HBCU that has both a football team and a band to be a part of this historic one-of-a-kind sports experience. The reality is not every school has responded to our efforts over the past three years to include them in the game.
We must have a license agreement to include HBCUs in the game which gives us the right to use their name, likeness, logos, etc. in the game, as well as we need their cooperation to obtain various assets from the football, band and sports information departments to authentically represent them in the game.
Our agreements with HBCUs provide royalty compensation as well as exposure to a broad audience to help support and promote these great institutions. In addition to Langston, Central St, and EWC there are other HBCU schools that we are continuing to engage and include in future versions of BCFx, and it is our hope that after seeing and experiencing The Doug Williams Edition of BCFx for the XBox 360, all HBCUs with football teams and bands will be more compelled to get in the game.
