I was at Harlem Week 2009 which is actually an oymoron since it's really "Harlem Month". August 15 - 16, 135th street was closed and there was a street festival from St. Nicholas to 5th Ave. I spent alot of time at the HBCU College Fair tent where colleges from all four athletic conferences were well represented as well as rthe HBCU independents, members of non HBCU conferences and NAIA schools.
It was interesting that Lincoln was next to VUU, (our Homecoming opponent) anc opposite Xavier-LA, and Dillard.
The weather was was hot (90 degrees) and folks were out in numbers
