Lastly, you do understand (I hope) that per capita HBCU graduates earn less and are don't own the corporate businesses like their white counterparts. WSSU's graduates and alumni were essentially TEACHERS. Do you know how much a teacher makes now; and made then??

I tried to get folks to understand this some time ago, when many want to automatically jump on the alumni of our schools for lack of giving compared to the PWCs.

But teachers and others can give something.  Giving nothing is the problem.  Yes PWCs give more, but they have more things to pay out too.

True for the most part but the number of other graduates degree (nursing, computer field, etc..)
has grown at WSSU and I for one is an engineer that graduated from WSSU and I give alot of money to the university.

I agree with eagle pride something is better then nothing
We definitely need to give more especially the women from wssu tiptoe
I know more guys that give back then the women.  IMO tiptoe

OH yeah.  The school stopped being TC about 2 years after I graduated.  Folks are doing better, but were still behind.

I also tried to get everyone especially our athletics department to realize that the overwhelming majority of our grads are women, and we need to recognize that and approach them appropriately.  Unlike our lady friends here, and a few jock/coach groupies, most don't  get the need to support athletics.

THIS is the biggest thing that we've lost.  That started toward the end or Rose's watch.  Anne Little  Angry  let it get worse.  Dr. Metrix didn't do ANYTHING to get them back.  Well he did little, and it was ineffective.

I do what I need to make WSSU GREATER. Let me help you if think talking about dues paying is going to stop folks from expressing themselves you are sadly mistaken. People make me laugh just because they don't go with flow they automatically ASSume you don't support the University. I support the Academic and Athletic programs ay my Alma Mater. I also support another HBCU financially that I'm not a graduate. Get like me, and get off me.

I don't think there will be any perfect fixes but according to the WSSU athletics website Mr. Hayes seems to be trying his best reconnecting  http://www.wssurams.com/genrel/012410aaa.html with alumni athletes in a way a few of his predecessors seemed to have problems doing.  No one person or institution will ever please everybody that is just the way it is.
