Aside from the fueding siblings, I think the letter situation is an interesting legal question:

The letters belonged to Mrs. King, and as such are a part of her estate, which is controlled by Bernice.

But...

The letters were written by Dr. King, and as such are the intellectual property of Dr. King, which is (or was) controlled by Dexter King. 

I'm glad the siblings were able to come to an (amicable?) agreement.  The article doesn't mention whether or not the letters would be used in the book, which I would be interested in reading (whether the letters are there or not).
