"FYI -
The Home Depot Center is the home venue for two professional (and very popular) soccer teams. The Center was not available yesterday:

"I didn‘t realize PVU‘s band director was a former FAMU drum major.
Nice video, too. Enjoyed it. Interesting article."

"I am glad that the game was a hit.  Now, let my beloved Panthers score big in the next few games (against Southern and Grambling) and band hit it big at the State Fair Classic in Dallas against Grambling.

I read the same thing.

On the ""reported"" attendance figures, I sometimes wonder about them.  When I have gone to the State Fair Classic in Dallas I have many times seen a full or almost full Cotton Bowl, which seats over 75000.  Yet, many times during the ‘90s the attendance was listed at about 50K.  Do not ask me why?

Why not play the game at the Home Depot Center initially and then, when the game has gained an annual following, move the game to a large venue like the Coliseum?

The California Interscholastic Federation has the high school football championships at the Home Depot‘s stadium. Check it out here.................

I‘m glad the game went off well. Hopefully, whoever the promoters are for this event will be much more organized than some of the groups in the past............................but, I‘m not holding my breath. [/qb]
Yup, that would have been the perfect stadium. Great size."

Okay, no problem.

What about Cerritos College‘s Stadium.......?

Or Mt Sac‘s stadium..............?

Or El Camino College‘s stadium........?

What about Veteran‘s Stadium in Long Beach.....?

There are a bunch of smaller venues that would have made it a more cozy affair. Whenever we have those games in the Coliseum.......even if you draw 50K..............the stadium looks empty.  "

"True. But, why do the games have to be in the cavernous L.A. Coliseum when we know that if the game isn‘t well promoted, or hosts teams that aren‘t well known on the west coast, that the attendance will be small? That‘s all I‘m asking..................................

What stadium do you propose they use in LA?

Is the promoter able to negotiate a better deal for the L.A. Coliseum?
