That‘s unfortunate about the AD signing a contract to play a school 5 years down the line and not be there to see it through. Seems as if Dickerson has to clean up that mess!!!

FAMU Officials Contradict Alabama State Story

Out of Tallahassee, it sounds like Miami isn’t going to be making it on FAMU’s 2008 schedule after all, contradicting an earlier report by Alabama State claiming this was so.

Florida A&M Athletic Department officials have told me that there is no truth to a report that the season and home opening game against Alabama State Aug. 30 was being replaced by a money game at Miami.

Alabama State officials have apparently made that claim to media in Montgomery, Ala., but that is not the case according to the people I talked to Thursday afternoon within the athletic department.

Miami has inquired about possible game for the 2009 schedule, but not for the 2008 schedule.
